This week, OLIVER was fortunate to hear from Dr Agnes Kaposi, a holocaust survivor who shared her story of survival and miracles.
January 27 is Holocaust Memorial Day, a chance to remember an estimated six million people who lost their lives in one of humanity’s worse atrocities, as well as educate ourselves on the dangers of hate and discrimination.
Dr Kaposi talks about her time in the camps, set up by the Nazis who institutionalized the discrimination of people based solely on their ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, or sexual orientation.
What is Dr Kaposi’s message? Inaction makes us complicit. To prevent anything like this happening again, we each have a role to play today.
We encourage everyone to spend some time watching this interview – hosted by our CEO of Global Markets and Operations Sharon Whale – to enrich themselves with lessons from the Holocaust’s last survivors.
